Mr. Steven Owyang and “Friends of Roots” 美国加州法官欧阳如展先生拜访USCEC并介绍“寻根之友”项目
Mr. Steven Owyang brought his "Friends of Roots" (FOR) program to the USCEC staff.
Mr. Owyang is the 4th generation of Chinese migrants to the United States. Mr. Owyang's family arrived in San Francisco from Zhongshan City in Guangdong Province, China in 1870s. After retiring as Executive Officer from the California Commission on Civil Rights, Mr. Owyang devoted his time to FOR which each time brings a dozen of Chinese American back to their ancestral villages in China, to re-establish ties with their family history and the Chinese culture.
